The UN Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all, addressing the global challenges our planet and people face. The Goals interconnect and in order to leave no one behind, it is important that we achieve each Goal and target by 2030.
We at EnvoPAP are committed to innovating using technology for sustainable development and provide world-class eco-friendly paper. Our contribution through sustainable practices and our circular ecosystem to become one of the UK’s largest and most efficient solution providers of eco-friendly paper allows us to focus on eight of the Sustainable Development Goals.
End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
We at EnvoPAP strive to offer employment, fair wages, and safe working conditions for all of our employees, from those in our office to our factory workers in India, to ensure employees are properly compensated for their work. Since EnvoPAP uses agricultural waste from sugarcanes (or bagasse) to create our high-quality recyclable paper, we give farmers and sugar mills an additional source of income by purchasing their bagasse instead of having them burn it. This has created additional jobs among farmers to help them support their families and loved ones.
In accordance to our Agenda 2030, we aim to create 1,000+ job opportunities through our future expansion and goals to provide sustainable material solutions worldwide, and give back to organisations tackling poverty and sustainable innovation.
Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
Using sugar cane waste to make paper doesn’t just help the environment. We support corporate farming by helping our farmers in India plant and process sugarcane efficiently, providing them the technical expertise and a ready market for their produce. Its implementation helps to achieve overall development plans, reduce future economic, environmental and social costs, and strengthen economic competitiveness— thus reducing poverty among our farmers.
Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.
Our business is built on sustainable innovation as the production of our products only requires agricultural waste, is highly energy efficient, biodegradable, compostable, and eco-friendly. Our production infrastructure is efficiently utilised with our high-grade machinery running at 70% capacity; a maximum capacity of 135,000 tonnes per annum. EnvoPAP is made from locally sourced agricultural waste from sugarcane and wheat straw (which is usually burnt by farmers) and wild grass fibers that are blended to create the fibres of our premium quality paper and packaging.
We give agricultural waste a second life by using discarded stems and stalks in our production, thus mitigating deforestation and air pollution.
Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.
EnvoPAP materials are an eco-friendly and sustainable alternative made from sugarcane fibres. The production of EnvoPAP uses 80% less wood fibre than paper produced from wood pulp and has 29% less environmental impact than recycled paper. After use, EnvoPAP materials can be recycled to make recycled paper; elongating the lifetime value of our products. By promoting sustainable paper choices, packaging innovation, sustainable material research and raw material supply we are committed to responsible consumption and production by reducing our material footprint.
Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.
EnvoPAP is an efficient solution for combating deforestation, which accounts for 20% of all greenhouse gas emissions worldwide (a figure that even exceeds the pollution created by the global transportation sector). The reclamation of sugarcane stalks is an innovative way of extracting something useful out of waste materials, which are otherwise burnt and added to CO2 emissions.
We have proudly saved 760,000+ trees so far through our production process! By 2020, we aim to rescue 1.5 million trees to help combat climate change and stop deforestation on a global scale.
Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.
We are committed to sustainable processes, and as a result sought out to become ZLD Certified (oriented to zero liquid discharge). This means we reduced our company’s environmental impact by minimising the production of liquid waste and reducing the consumption of main water by reusing water created in the production process. Our strict compliance with these environmental regulations places EnvoPAP at the forefront of becoming leaders in the sustainability sector, with our goal to protect and revitalise Earth’s natural resources.
Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
Compared to traditional paper from virgin wood fibres, the EnvoPAP brand is thoroughly green and we have proudly saved more than 760,000 trees in the last two years. It offers 100% quality with 50% of the environmental impact. One pallet of 30% recycled paper saves only 7 trees while one pallet of EnvoPAP saves 24 trees! By 2020, we aim to promote the implementation of sustainable management of all types of forests, halt deforestation, restore degraded forests and substantially increase afforestation and reforestation globally.
Using the impact calculator, you can see how much difference you can make with every purchase of EnvoPAP. By protecting forests, we will also be able to strengthen natural resource management and increase land productivity. Being made from agricultural waste fibres, EnvoPAP not just helps to save trees, but also reduces air and land pollution on a massive scale.
Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.
EnvoPAP is a B2B company that aims to make businesses across the globe become more sustainable by urging them to switch from wood paper packaging to our high-quality packaging made from agricultural waste. We currently partner with big corporations, suppliers, and distribution partners to help them reduce their carbon-footprint and innovate on the forefront of sustainable design and packaging— creating a global community of changemakers with every partnership.
By 2020, we hope to become a global leader in providing sustainable packaging materials for businesses to reduce their carbon-footprint, achieve zero waste, and meet sustainable market demands.
